Advanced solution for thermal control in precision metrology environments

Description: The LETS module is a temperature measurement system capable of resolving temperature fluctuations at the µK/√Hz level in the millihertz band. Designed for operation in ultra-stable and vacuum environments, it enables long-term thermal monitoring and characterization of components and materials without impacting system performance. Its capability to accurately track minute temperature variations makes it an ideal tool for measuring thermal expansion and stability in materials such as ULE glass and CFRP, supporting demanding applications in precision metrology and space engineering.

Measuring Deep Soil Moisture from Drones (MIRROR)

Description: The developed technology consists of a radio wave drone-mounted sensor, capable of providing soil moisture measurements both at the surface (5cm) and at depth (50cm), with a pixel size of around 20 m. This information can be used to improve irrigation efficiency and to anticipate crop water needs, helping to select the most suitable crop type for each plot, based on deep soil moisture conditions. For water distribution networks, it is also an effective tool to detect subsurface moisture and thereby identify leaks that would otherwise remain hidden.

Area of application: Agriculture, water distribution networks

TRL: 4

Development status: prototype is working in a real environment

Intellectual Property (IP) status: Priority patent application filed

Intended Collaboration: Licensing and/or co development
